Youth Winners Prepare for Summer Trips

Striving to become a Youth Tour winner, students from schools in Alfalfa Electric Cooperative’s service area submitted applications and short videos. The applicants were narrowed down to six finalists, who were interviewed by three judges. AEC sends one Kansas student with the Kansas delegation to Washington, D.C. Attica student MYA DEVINEY will represent her school and AEC this year. Judges also selected DAVIN BUDY, from Cherokee, and EVAN FERGUSON, from Alva, to join the Oklahoma delegation in our nation’s capital. Alva’s BROOKLYN MURROW and Kremlin-Hillsdale’s MARIANA CORREA will attend the Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp near Steamboat Springs, Colorado. AEC also awards a $500 scholarship to each student. Your coop continues to positively influence the future leaders of tomorrow.
