Start/STop Service
Start/Stop Service
Making changes to your service is easy. Please select from the following options for instructions on how to start/stop a service. For situations where you do not have a meter in place, please follow the construction directions for either residential or commercial, depending on your needs.
Please fill out the form at the bottom of the page to request service from Alfalfa Electric Cooperative. This form is for establishing service at property WITH EXISTING ELECTRICAL SERVICE ONLY (meter already present at the site). AEC will mail you a contract which you can sign and return to the AEC office along with the required fees.
Before applying for membership, take just a minute to view new service information and requirements.
Please contact the AEC office at 580-596-3333 or 1-888-736-3837 about your new construction project early as new service installation takes additional time to design, process right of way, and perform line construction. Our engineering personnel will assist you in the completion of necessary documents. Some of the requirements for new installation of service include the following:
- Legal description of real estate
- Service size needed
- Notarized right-of-way easement
- State and/or county permits (if required)
- Signed purchased power agreement with fees paid
A complete listing of New Service Information and Requirements is available in a printable online format.
