At Alfalfa Electric, we believe in the power of light to transform lives and communities. Despite modern advancements in technology, around 770 million people globally still lack access to electricity. This staggering number underscores the importance of the Oklahoma Energy Trails Foundation’s mission of bringing electricity to underserved regions around the globe.
On Sept. 27, nine of our Alfalfa Electric employees participated in the 2024 Shoot for the Nations, a sporting clays shooting event supporting the Oklahoma Energy Trails Foundation. Shoot for the Nations was a resounding success, with over 400 attendees and 100 volunteers coming together for a common cause. The event featured 69 teams, totaling 276 shooters, all contributing to the mission of electrification and empowerment. Events like Shoot for the Nations help generate crucial funding for future Energy Trails missions.
Lighting Up Barejones, Guatemala
Thanks to the funds raised at events like Shoot for the Nations, the Energy Trails team embarked on another mission to electrify the village of Barejones in Guatemala on Oct. 1. This initiative marks another significant step in the Oklahoma Energy Trails Foundation’s ongoing efforts to provide sustainable energy solutions to needy communities.
A lighting ceremony in mid-October marked the culmination of their efforts. CEO/General Manager Greg Goetz joined the team for the lighting ceremony. He was enthused to witness firsthand the transformation and the difference the foundation is making in less fortunate parts of the world.
Stay tuned for further updates from the Barejones mission and more stories of how we are lighting the way for a brighter future. We invite you to join us on this illuminating journey. Together, we can break through the darkness and bring hope where it is needed most.
