Alfalfa Electric Cooperative is proud to recognize Assistant Director of Operations Joel Lopez for completing the Certified Loss Control Professional (CLCP) program, co-sponsored by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) and the National Utility Training and Safety Education Association (NUTSEA). Lopez officially received his CLCP credential at a graduation ceremony held June 4, 2026, in Madison Wisconsin- the culmination of approximately 2.5 years of rigorous course work in person seminars, small group work, and a final individual project. The CLCP program is designed to provide electric utility safety professionals with the educational foundation and tools needed to lead safety functions at the highest level. Participants complete four seminars combining online and in person instruction, concluding with a comprehensive final project to earn the nationally recognized designation. For AEC, Lopez’s achievement represents a meaningful investment in the safety culture and future of our cooperative.
