Alfalfa Electric Cooperative received top recognition at the 2025 Achieving Marcom Power (AMP) Awards, held Nov. 6 and presented by the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives and Oklahoma Living magazine. The AEC communications team — Director of Public Relations Chelsey Guffy and Communications Specialist Chelsea Thomas — was named Top Electric Cooperative Communicator of the Year — Small Distribution Cooperative Division.
In addition to this top honor, Alfalfa earned five other awards across multiple categories:
-
Best Small Publication
-
Best Overall Content
-
Best Photo
-
Best Community Outreach
-
Best Use of Social Media
“For one of the smaller electric cooperatives in Oklahoma, bringing home six awards across multiple categories is incredible,” Guffy said. “There are so many talented communicators across the state — many of whom I look up to and admire — so being named Top Electric Cooperative Communicator is something I wasn’t sure we’d ever achieve. It’s a huge honor for our co-op, and I am incredibly proud of this recognition.”
These awards celebrate the cooperative’s commitment to sharing meaningful stories, connecting with members, and promoting the cooperative difference through innovative communication strategies.
A special congratulations goes out to Alfalfa’s, Chelsey Guffy and Chelsea Thomas, whose hard work, creativity, and dedication continue to set a high standard for excellence in cooperative communications. Their teamwork and passion for serving members truly shine through every project they undertake.
Congratulations, Chelsey and Chelsea, on this outstanding achievement!
