Alfalfa Electric Cooperative employees proudly volunteered their time and talents at the Special Olympics Oklahoma Summer Games held in Stillwater from May 13-15.

The annual event brings together thousands of athletes, coaches, families, and supporters from across the state to celebrate determination, inclusion, and sportsmanship. This year, more than 7,000 participants were involved in Special Olympics Oklahoma programs and events, making a lasting impact on communities throughout the state.

Alfalfa Electric was honored to join 21 other electric cooperatives in volunteering at the Summer Games. In total, 22 Oklahoma electric cooperatives sent volunteers to support athletes and help ensure the event was a success. From assisting with competitions and event logistics to encouraging athletes from the sidelines, cooperative employees played an important role throughout the three-day event.

"Giving back to the communities we serve is a core part of who we are as a cooperative," said Alfalfa Electric Cooperative. "The Special Olympics athletes inspire us with their perseverance, dedication, and positive attitudes. It was a privilege for our employees to volunteer and support such an incredible event."
