2025 Youth Tour

In June, two incredible young women, Anna Kiner and Tessa Littlefield, represented Alfalfa Electric
Cooperative on a trip of a lifetime at the 2025 Oklahoma Youth Tour in Washington, D.C. Along with 67 other Oklahoma high school students, they joined
more than 1,700 delegates from 45 states for an unforgettable week filled with history, adventure and new friendships.

From visiting iconic landmarks like the Lincoln Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery and the White House to exploring the U.S. Capitol and the Holocaust Museum, Anna and Tessa had the chance to immerse themselves in American history while learning about our government and the role of rural
electric cooperatives. “Youth Tour was so much fun. We visited so many fascinating places and I made many new friends,” Tessa said. “It’s clear from her words that Youth Tour isn’t just about seeing new places — it’s about the experience of learning, growing and connecting with others in a way that stays with you forever.” Beyond the sightseeing, the bonds formed during the trip truly make it special. As Anna and Tessa reflected, Youth Tour is about more than just the places you visit — it’s about the people you meet and the memories you create together. Anna and Tessa’s time at YouthTour is a perfect example of how experiences like these help young people grow into strong leaders, ready to take on the challenges of tomorrow. We’re excited to see how they continue to inspire and lead in their communities, just as Alfalfa Electric Cooperative has been doing for years.
