In July, Alfalfa Electric Cooperative proudly awarded
$30,000 in CoBank Sharing Success grants to four local organizations working to improve their communities.
The funding included a $15,000 contribution from
Alfalfa Electric, matched dollar-for-dollar by CoBank, one of the cooperative’s trusted financial partners. Each year, Sharing Success helps provide critical support for projects that benefit rural areas, and the 2025 awards went to the following
recipients:
Carmen Public Library, Carmen-Applied the grant toward building maintenance and replacing outdated playground equipment for children and families.
City of Hardtner, Hardtner Kansas- Used the grant to hire a consultant to organize and begin work on a much-needed gas
line project.
Ringwood Public Schools, Ringwood-Upgraded softball and baseball field dugouts to provide a safer, more enjoyable environment for
students and fans.
Waynoka Historical Society, Waynoka- Received funding to install a new flat roof over the kitchen area, helping preserve a key community gathering space.
