AEC Services

Alfalfa Electric Cooperative (AEC) Services offers sales, services, and installation on all heating and cooling equipment (both gas and electric), whole-house generators, and geothermal heat pumps.

Rebates

AEC provides rebates to offset the cost of energy-efficient retrofits. Get money back on high-efficiency heat pump heating and cooling equipment and water heaters.

Capital Credits

Unlike investor-owned utility companies that strive to generate profits for shareholders, electric cooperatives like Alfalfa Electric Cooperative operate on an at-cost basis. Any profits made by AEC—referred to as margins—are returned to the consumer-members. Capital credits represent these dividends.

Capital credits are calculated each year in which AEC makes a profit and distributed to each member in proportion to his/her electrical usage for that year. AEC retains and uses capital credits for operating capital until the financial condition of the cooperative and AEC’s board of trustees, permits the co-op to issue a refund.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Alfalfa Electric Cooperative, Inc. now has 3 charging stations in front of our new headquarters facility for the public to use. We have a level 2 (40 amps AC charge) with 2 charging ports and 1 Level 3 (50 kW max DC fast charge) with 1 charging port.
