OBJECTIVES
To provide maximum services to the members by rendering prompt and efficient service. Use effective communications to promote good will between the Cooperative and its members. To accept receipts and cash payments and make daily deposits. To coordinate delinquent account information and initiate collection procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:
- Pick-up all incoming mail at U.S. Post Office and distribute it to applicable departments by 9:15 a.m.
- Handle all incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate person(s) and/or department(s).
- Check Night Deposit Box each morning.
- Accept and record over the counter payments to consumer accounts through the Cash Register Syetem.
- Prepare cash received mail batches each day, record payments to consumer accounts and balance them separately.
- Deposit cash receipts each day prior to 3:00 p.m.
- Maintain daily cash journal by applicable account numbers, all cash received and disbursed.
- Maintain cash drawers and balance the drawers before 2:30 p.m. each day.
- Prepare and maintain records on returned items, which includes taking copies to Executive Secretary. Type letter of notification to consumer and follow-up.
- Make sure drawers, money bags and any other necessary items are secured after hours in locked vault.
- Make certain the front doors and vault are locked each evening.
- Uses the telephone and other collection actions as authorized.
- Prepare and maintain accounts on Average Payment Plans.
- Prepare and maintain records of deferred payment plan accounts, payment arrangements, and transfers of balances for consumers as needed.
- Maintain computer codes for average payement plans,penalties and notices on consumer accounts.
- Consult with member and social agencies where appropriate to help with payments.This includes maintaining records for Medical Alert accounts.
- Assist with the performance of other duties as needed.
- Troubleshoots with consumers regarding SmartHub and auto pay problems. i.e.Reset passwords, registering, etc.
- Help with Annual Meeting duties as needed.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and the public. Must also be able to give verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to operate keyboards, typewriters, and other office equipment to perform activities.
- Must be able to make quick, rational decisions on your own.
- Must have the ability to perform mathematical computations necessary to balance cash, take collections, build reports and process notices.
- Must be able to deal with customers in a desirable manner in taking payments, complaints, and directing them to the department that will best serve them.
- Must be able to attend work on a regular and predictable basis.
- Must have a valid Oklahoma Class D license and be able to operate a motorized vehicle without the assistance of another employee.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematical computations, and formulas in writing programs. Work experience preferred in which there has been a demonstrated ability to carry out the position responsibilities. Previous experience in computer, telephone, ten-key, and public relations is desirable. Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.

Must possess the skills to communicate effectively and relate well to people. Must have skills, such as patience, to maintain relationships with the public, members, and coworkers. Must have demonstrated the ability to learn and apply safety rules and regulations.
