Alfalfa Electric Cooperative is proud to announce that in June 2024, THREE DELEGATES (juniors from high schools within our service territory) will travel to our nation’s capital for a week-long, all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C.! They will tour historic sites and national landmarks, meet state congressional leaders, and more!
The Electric Cooperative Youth Tour is known as the trip of a lifetime among those who attend. “At first, I was very scared to go on Youth Tour, but now that I have gone, I can truthfully say that it was the best experience of my life,” said Morgan Hayes, a 2023 delegate from Kremlin-Hillsdale.
This year, students will submit their application online, including:
- Student information.
- 3-5 minute video (taken with a smartphone).
- Student survey.
Seven finalists will be chosen for interviews and three winners will be selected to represent Alfalfa Electric on Youth Tour 2024.
The judges will also select two students to attend the Cooperative Leadership Camp in Colorado, and two students to attend the Leadership Summit in Oklahoma City. All seven finalists will receive a $500 scholarship pending program completion.
