In accordance with Alfalfa Electric Cooperative’s Bylaws, each year the Cooperative holds its Annual Meeting of Members in April. This meeting is a cornerstone of our democratic process and a living example of the Fourth Cooperative Principle: Autonomy and Independence.

When you receive electricity from Alfalfa Electric Cooperative, you’re more than a customer — you’re a member-owner. That means you have a direct voice in how your cooperative operates.
Every year, Alfalfa Electric Cooperative holds an Annual Meeting of the Membership, where members come together to hear updates, elect trustees, and celebrate another year of powering our communities.
Make Your Voice Heard
The Annual Meeting is your opportunity to:
- Hear updates from AEC’s Board of Trustees and CEO about the cooperative’s financial health, accomplishments, and goals
- Vote on important bylaw changes that help shape the future of your cooperative.
- Learn how AEC is planning for the future, improving reliability, and investing in technology and infrastructure.
- Connect with AEC employees, trustees, and fellow members while enjoying educational and engaging activities, giveaways, and appreciation events.
Attendees also receive important reports on the cooperative’s activities during the past year, and election results are announced before the close of the Business Meeting.
Voting Information
Each member must be present with proper identification to register and vote at the Annual Meeting. Proxy votes are not allowed. Members may also vote on proposed bylaw changes during the meeting.
Convenient Drive-Thru Registration
Busy schedule? No problem! Take advantage of our convenient drive-thru registration option. Simply register and vote from your car, then pick up your registration gift before you head out.
This year, registered members will receive a $25 electric bill credit as their registration gift. All registered members will also be entered into additional prize drawings, which will be announced Monday.
